Strengthening International Collaboration in AI & Education

Kimyo International University in Tashkent had the honor of hosting a high-level meeting between Rector Akmal Allakuliyev, Dr. Paul Kim, PhD — former Associate Dean and Chief Technology Officer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education, and representatives of the Swiss Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship.

The meeting focused on exploring potential collaboration opportunities between KIUT and international partners, particularly in integrating innovative educational technologies and advanced learning methodologies into the university’s academic ecosystem.

A key point of discussion was the implementation of the SMILE methodology, developed by Dr. Paul Kim, as well as the broader integration of AI and EdTech platforms into the educational process to enhance teaching, learning, entrepreneurship, and modern management models.

Dr. Paul Kim, PhD — former Associate Dean and Chief Technology Officer at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education, internationally recognized AI and EdTech expert, and creator of the SMILE methodology — shared valuable insights on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in business and education.

This meeting marks another important step for KIUT toward international academic innovation, digital transformation, and global collaboration.

Together, shaping the future of education through innovation.
