PhD Dissertations Discussed at Scientific Seminar
On October 6, two research studies in the field of philology were discussed at Kimyo International University in Tashkent.
At the 4th meeting of the Scientific Seminar under the Scientific Council PhD.03/2026.31.01.Fil.29.05, which awards the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Philological Sciences, Kamola Odilova and Oktam Rakhmonqulov presented their dissertation research.
Kamola Odilova’s dissertation in 10.00.11 — Applied and Computational Linguistics, entitled “The Linguocognitive Aspect of Polycode Texts,” examines polycode texts from linguistic and cognitive perspectives.
Oktam Rakhmonqulov’s dissertation, “Lexicographic Interpretation of Uzbek Insurance Terminology: Database and Semantization,” focuses on the lexicographic description of Uzbek insurance terminology, the development of a terminology database, and issues of semantization.
During the seminar, the researchers presented the key findings of their dissertations. Members of the Scientific Seminar raised questions and provided comments and recommendations regarding the methodology, research findings, and practical significance of the studies.
