A delegation from Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), led by Rector Professor Akmal Allakuliev, participated in the UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings 2026 Results & Awards Ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The event brought together universities to exchange international practices in environmental sustainability, green campus development, responsible resource management, and the integration of sustainability principles into education and university governance.
UI GreenMetric is an international ranking system that assesses universities based on criteria including green infrastructure, energy and water use, waste management, transportation, education, and research.
During the visit, the KIUT delegation met with Dr. Vishnu Juwono, Chair of UI GreenMetric. The discussions focused on strengthening KIUT’s consistent participation in the ranking and further developing green campus and sustainability initiatives across the university.
The parties also discussed the possibility of hosting one of the UI GreenMetric international events at KIUT in Uzbekistan in 2027.
