World Vocational College Skills Competition – 2025: KIUT Students Win Bronze Medal in Artificial Intelligence Category

Students of the Kimyo International University in Tashkent actively participated in the prestigious international contest World Vocational College Skills Competition – 2025, Central Asia stage. The competition was jointly organized by Tashkent State Transport University and Tianjin Maritime College of China.

In the Artificial Intelligence category, under the supervision of the Department of Applied Informatics professors Qodirbek Maxarov and Mehrbonu Rahimova, two student teams were formed to present their innovative projects — “AI Encyclopedia” and “Smart Vacuum Cleaner.”

The “AI Encyclopedia” project was introduced as an intelligent system capable of recognizing historical monuments using artificial intelligence and providing detailed information about them. Its focus on preserving cultural heritage and promoting it through modern technologies attracted special attention from the jury.

The “Smart Vacuum Cleaner” project was presented as a smart device integrating robotics and IoT technologies, designed to automatically analyze the environment and determine optimal cleaning routes.

As a result, one of the university teams successfully competed and won the bronze medal. This achievement not only enhanced the university’s reputation but also clearly demonstrated the ability of its students to compete internationally in the field of artificial intelligence. The success also opens up new opportunities for future scientific and practical projects, as well as for strengthening the university’s international partnerships.
