
Professor Motomu Hashimoto of Osaka Metropolitan University Visits Kimyo International University in Tashkent
One of Japan’s distinguished scholars, Professor Motomu Hashimoto of Osaka Metropolitan University, led a delegation on a visit to Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the university’s founder, Professor Alisher Vakhobov, who introduced the guests to the institution’s activities, scientific achievements, and international cooperation initiatives. The visitors also became acquainted with the operations of Kimyo University Hospital.
Professor Motomu Hashimoto is a globally recognized expert in the fields of rheumatology and immunology. He currently serves as a professor at the newly established Department of Internal Medicine of Collagen Diseases at Osaka Metropolitan University. His primary research interests focus on the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. Research conducted by his team is regularly published in prestigious international scientific journals.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, joint research, and faculty exchange programs. According to Professor Hashimoto, collagen and rheumatic diseases are now being considered worldwide as an integrated system. Collaboration between Kimyo International University in Tashkent and Osaka Metropolitan University will lay the foundation for new scientific breakthroughs and joint clinical projects in this field.
This visit will further strengthen the university’s international reputation, promote the application of advanced scientific approaches in education, and contribute to the development of modern medicine.
