
On July 25, 2025, the delegation of Tashkent Kimyo International University (KIUT), currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom, visited the University of West London located in the city of Bristol
During the meeting, the sides discussed the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, prospects for bilateral cooperation, available academic opportunities, and issues related to the exchange of experience in the field of education. The event was hosted by Dr. Hilary Lowe, Director of International Affairs at the University of West London. The Rector of KIUT, Professor Karimjon Akhmedjanov, gave a presentation on the university’s achievements in education and its activities in international cooperation. At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two universities. According to this memorandum, the parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas:
- Joint participation in summer schools and international projects;
- Exchange of experience to improve educational processes;
- Exchange of academic staff and organization of professional development programs;
- Implementation of student exchange programs in “2+2” and “1+1” formats for undergraduate and graduate levels;
- Organization of joint international conferences, symposiums, and round-table discussions;
- Mutual support and cooperation in scientific research.
This meeting marked an important step toward strengthening bilateral academic ties.
