Erasmus


The two-week qualification training course planned at the Riga Technical University in Latvia within the framework of the project “UzMedEn: development of a new master’s program and advanced training courses in medical engineering in Uzbekistan”, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program “Capacity Building in Higher Education - CBHE”, have begun on September 18. The official opening ceremony of advanced training course was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Latvia Kadambay Sultanov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Riga Technical University prof. Elina Gaile-Sarkane, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Ivo Vaicis, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Nanotechnology Professor Juriis Dehtjars, the team academic department of the university and visiting professors from 7 higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including Kimyo International University in Tashkent. During the next two weeks, together with other Uzbek participants of the project, representatives of Kimyo International University in Tashkent - project coordinator, head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology A. Rustamov, project participants R. Allaberganov, K. Abdivahidov, I. Mamayunusov, M. Musurmanov, U. Tashmuratov will have the opportunity to study advanced European experience in the field of biomedical engineering and gain the necessary knowledge to create a master's program in the field of medical engineering.
