“Energy and Applied Sciences” Department

 

Energy is a set of large natural and artificial subsystems that serve to transform, distribute and use energy resources of all kinds in a field of human economic activity. The purpose is to ensure the production of energy by converting primary, natural energy into electrical or thermal energy.

During independence of Uzbekistan all  attention put to the improvement of the energy industry in the country and as it resulted of the development of the industry and  need for energy also increased significantly correspond to Renewable Energy plays a special role in the development of the industry.

Considering the high demand for specialists in the industry not only in our country, but also around the world, in 2018, “Renewable Energy” bachelor degree was opened at Kimyo International University in Tashkent in “Energy and Applied Sciences” department.  Currently, the Department of "Energy and Applied Sciences" is also include the direction of "Electrical Engineering"

“Energy and Applied Sciences” department involves variety of  teachers in the field of Energy, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Programming and conduct specialized courses in such technical areas as "Renewable Energy", "Electrical Engineering", "Mechanical Engineering", "Mechatronics Systems Engineering", "Lift Engineering" , "Information Systems Engineering".

The department has close ties with public and private enterprises operating in the field of Energy, Alternative Energy, Electrical Engineering, Elevator Engineering, etc. There are branches of the department in LLC "TEXNOPARK", LLC "TOSHAFUS", the Physical-Technical Institute of NPO "Physics-Sun" of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, where practical and laboratory classes are organized for students of technical fields.

Kamaliddin Abdivakhidov

Research interests: CAD/CAE/CAM systems; Electrical Engineering and Electrical Machines; Automotive Engineering. Scientific branch: 05.08.06 – Wheeled and tracked vehicles and their operation Biography Since 2020, he has been the Head of the Department of Energy and Applied Sciences at Tashkent International University of Chemistry (Kimyo). His main research areas include CAD/CAE/CAM systems, electrical engineering and electrical machines, and automotive engineering. He holds a master’s degree in automotive engineering from the Tashkent Institute of Automobile and Road Construction Engineers. He further deepened his academic knowledge and research experience as a visiting researcher at Politecnico di Torino in Tashkent and Politecnico di Torino (Italy). He has led and successfully implemented several innovative projects in education and industry in Uzbekistan, focusing on mechanical engineering and renewable energy. He has also participated in various projects in collaboration with Siemens PLM, Dassault Systèmes, and Hexagon MI.

Research interests: Investigation of hydraulic processes, efficient management of water resources, and improvement of hydraulic enginleering systems. Scientific branch: Conducting research in the field of modeling and optimization of hydraulics and water management systems. Biography Doctor of Technical Sciences. Since 2022, she has been a Professor at the Tashkent International University of Chemistry. The main field of her research is Hydraulics. She has more than 40 years of teaching experience and has published over 250 scientific articles. He serves as a Leading Researcher at the Laboratory of Water Management Economics and System Improvement of the Scientific Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems under the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. In addition, she is a Leading Researcher at the Laboratory of Modeling of Hydrodynamic Processes in Hydrotechnics and Land Reclamation of the same institute.

Research interests: mathematical modeling, nonlinear dynamics, feedback control, control of chaos. Scientific branch: 05.01.07 – Mathematical modeling. Numerical methods and program complexes Biography Since 2022, she has been working at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc). She specializes in the fields of “Mechanics,” “Applied Mathematics,” and “Mathematical Modeling” (National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent University of Information Technologies). From 2004 to 2022, she worked as a senior researcher at the Center for the Development of Software Products and Hardware-Software Complexes under the Tashkent University of Information Technologies. She is the author of 3 monographs, 2 textbooks, and more than 200 scientific articles.

Research interests: mechanical engineering, materials science in mechanical engineering. Scientific branch: Technological machines and equipment (refrigeration and cryogenic equipment), repair and operation of metallurgical machines and equipment Biography In 2022, she began working at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. She specializes in Technological Machinery and Equipment (Refrigeration and Cryogenics) and Repair and Maintenance of Metallurgical Machinery and Equipment. From 2020 to 2021, she worked as a teaching intern in the Department of Theoretical Mechanics and TMM at the Islam Karimov Tashkent State Technical University. From 2021 to 2022, she worked as a teaching intern in the Department of Technical Sciences at the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent. M. Platoshina is an independent researcher pursuing a PhD in the specialty 05.02.01—"Materials Science in Mechanical Engineering, Foundry Production, Heat Treatment and Metal Forming, Metallurgy of Ferrous, Non-Ferrous, and Rare Metals" at the Joint Belarusian-Uzbek Intersectoral Institute of Applied Technical Qualifications in Tashkent. She is working on her dissertation on "The Influence of Phase Transformations on the Durability of Carbon and Alloy Steels." M. Platoshina has published 40 scientific papers, including 6 methodological manuals.

Research interests: Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics and dynamics, Renewable energy sources, Geothermal energy applications, Modern heating systems. Scientific branch: 05.02.03 – Technological Machines, Robots, Mechatronics, and Robotic Systems Biography: He completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) in 2013–2017, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He then pursued his Master’s studies at the Politecnico di Torino (POLITO), Italy, where he graduated in 2021 with a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Since 2021, he has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Energy and Applied Sciences at Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Since 2022, he has been working as an independent researcher at Kimyo International University in Tashkent, specializing in the field of 05.02.03 – Technological Machines, Robots, Mechatronics, and Robotic Systems. His research interests and expertise cover a wide range of engineering areas, including Engineering Thermodynamics, Renewable Energy Technologies, Fluid Power Systems, and Mechanical Engineering. In addition to his academic work, he serves as an Engineer-Technologist at Universal Alliance Company, where he contributes to industrial process development and mechanical system optimization. He is the author of several scientific articles and has participated in a number of local and international research and development projects, including Erasmus+ initiatives.

Since February 2023, he has been a member of the Department of Energy and Applied Sciences at Tashkent Kimyo International University (Kiut). Main areas - CAD/CAM systems; electrical engineering and electrical engineering, Bachelor's degree in “Renewable Energy” at Tashkent International Kimyo University, Master's degree in “Mechatronics and Robotics” at Tashkent International Kimyo University, worked at the university, participated in the project ‘Muhandis D’ and other projects.

Research interests: Mechanics, equipment, technology, mechanization. Scientific branch: Operation, restoration and repair of agricultural and land reclamation equipment (05.07.02), Research on the wear process of engine oils of promising wheeled tractors used in the conditions of Uzbekistan. Biography Since June 2022, he has been a leading specialist in the scientific department at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. Since September 2024, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Energy and Applied Sciences. He specializes in the following areas: "Includes the specialties of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Elevator Engineering, Alternative Energy, Electrical Engineering, and Traffic Management. From October 2021 to May 2022, he worked as a Specialist for the Implementation of New Projects at the EcoGIS Center at the National Research University of Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. From June 2009 to September 2021, he worked as a GM GMS Project Coordinator at the Turin Polytechnic University. From September 1992 to May 2009, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Tractors and Automobiles at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. Conducted scientific research on "Study of the Service Life of Motor Oils" and is the author of more than 30 scientific articles in this field.

Research interests: semiconductor sensors, microelectronics, optoelectronics. Scientific branch: Semiconductor Physics (01.04.10) Biography Since 2024, I have been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. I hold a Doctor of Technical Sciences (DSc) degree and specialize in the field of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics. From 2006 to 2021, I worked as a senior and leading researcher at the Physico-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. From 2021 to 2023, I served as the head of the department at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in Tashkent. From 2023 to 2024, I was the head of the commercialization department at the Research Institute of Semiconductor Physics and Microelectronics.I am the author of several inventions, rationalization proposals, and scientific publications.
